NUTRICOTE® TOTAL BLENDS

Florikan has the exclusive distribution rights to Nutricote® in 9 South East states and provides unique blends of Nutricote® blends in many other parts of the country.  Florikan has access to certain Nutricote® products that are unavailable elsewhere that it uses in its horticulture blends.  Learn more about Nutricote®

FLORIKOTE™ COATING TECHNOLOGY

Florikan has patented a dual reactive layer polymer coating process which it brands as Florikote™ Controlled Release Fertilizer (CRF).  Florikote™ was developed in 2004 in conjunction with the Space Alliance Outreach Program (SATOP) administered by NASA.  Florikote™ has a release period that is benchmarked to 77 degree F average soil temperatures so that it can maintain its integrity and last its stated period of release, even in climates of extreme heat and rainfall.  Florikote™ works through reverse osmosis, it is activated by moisture, and then the speed of release is governed by soil temperature.  Florikote™ is available in a broad range of substrates and SGN sizes for the agriculture, turf, landscape, horticulture, and retail products.  Learn more about Florikote™

STAGED NUTRIENT RELEASE™ (SNR) BLENDING TECHNOLOGY

Florikan has also patented Staged Nutrient Release™ (SNR), a blending technology which matches the release characteristics of a fertilizer to the nutrition uptake patterns of a crop.  Plants need different types of nutrients (i.e. Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium) at different periods of its growth cycle.  Florikan uses its Florikote™ and Nutricote products to create blends where these nutrients release in the appropriate stages of a plant’s growth curve.  This ensures that the plant gets the right nutrients at the right time and also minimizes the opportunity for nutrient run-off.   Florikan takes into account cultural factors such as pH, soil type, temperatures, and rainfall when designing an SNR™ fertilizer blend.  It is one of the most efficient and effective forms of fertilization for agriculture and horticulture crops.  Learn more about Stage Nutrient Release™ (SNR)
 

Florigraph™ – A Release Curve Software

Florikan has created, Florigraph™, an innovative release curve projection tool which demonstrates how a fertilizer blend will perform in different locations and at different times of the year.  Florigraph™ is unique because it demonstrates how each fertilizer component in a blend will release along with a consolidated nutrient curve for Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, and minor elements.  It can also project a consolidated, single release curve for the entire blend.
